Mid Back Pain

Pain in the mid back (thoracic spine) is not as common as pain in the neck or lower back because the bones in this area have a limited range of motion.  In general, the more mobility a joint has, the more risk of injury it has.

Below are the most common causes of mid back pain:

  • Bad posture
  • Muscle strain
  • Fractures
  • Disc herniations
  • Gallbladder (Referred pain)

Symptoms

  • Dull pain
  • Sharp pain
  • Muscle tension or stiffness
